Over the past few years we see increasing and relentless attacks against a core Christian principle, Sanctity of Life. It is now time to provide a new but complementary means/structure for a strong voice in contradiction to this slow but sure increase in evil, the destruction of the Sanctity of Life.
At a meeting of the leadership of the four major Anglican provinces (known as the G4) of the Continuing Anglican Communion held on May 1st, 2019, there was action taken on a proposal to establish The Order of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ (OPS), and the attendant Society of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ (SPS).
The resulting minutes of the May 1st meeting include the following: “There was general agreement that the ‘Organization/Order’ [Order of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, (OPS)] should be approved and given support.” The sole purpose of the proposed Order and Society is the protection of the Sanctity of Life in all its forms and at all ages, to serve as an important accompaniment to such organizations as Priests for Life (directed by Fr. Frank Pavone, RC), Anglican Priests for life (directed by Fr. Frederick Bentley, Ecumenical) and Anglicans for Life (Deacon Georgette Forney, ACNA).
At the G4 meeting there was an emphasis placed on bringing both clergy and lay-persons into the fold emphasizing the ‘Society’ arm of the Order (Society of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ). In effect, OPS was approved across a major portion of the Anglican Communion. Those who were present or had representatives present at the G4 meeting and officially approved the OPS are as follows:
