Charism

Charism

The Order welcomes individuals who are called to defend the Sanctity of Life through either of two gifts from our Lord; a Contemplative Charism or a Community Charism.

Contemplative life within the Order of the Most Precious Blood is a lived response to a call from God, heard within the heart; a call to go apart while remaining in the secular world and enter more fully into the search for God. It is marked by a life of intense prayer for the Sanctity of Life and the protection of  the Sacramental and Liturgical life of the Order and of the Church, cultivated in silence and solitude whenever possible but lived within the secular community holding the deep needs of those in the grip of evil in this world in the heart and in the presence of our Loving God and praying intensely for their reconciliation and salvation. Members with this Charism from our Lord may also participate in the production of explanatory/educational materials supportive of the mission of Order.

A member whose charism involves contact with and participation in the lives of others, Community Life, will fully develop those talents given him or her by God (i.e., in liturgy, music, art, education, etc.). He or she shall use these talents to the best of his or her ability in the diocese, parish, or mission to which he or she belongs to further the protection of the unborn as for any threat to the Gift of life.
